I am posting this as "anonymous" because I, too, unblocked this man when a friend told me the ghastly things he's been saying in his blog. For now, I would rather let him wonder exactly who has been watching and taking screen shots that can be used to document what you, I, and a number of others are likely to be writing about this petty little wannabe "Organic Leader"...or turned over to the attorneys for several publishing houses who might have a concern that one of their popular authors has been slandered and libeled online. I am not the only one, and some of my co-laborers actually interact with him as if they "like" his posts.

On April 23, 2013, on his Crossroad Junction Facebook page, Jim Wright posted a link to his "Nathan's Voice" website. The post begins, "There has been no public confession or public repentance...", accompanied by said link. Within 24-48 hours there were over 100 comments posted in the comment thread on that link. Most of the comments condemned Mr. Wright's behavior toward the well-known author referenced in your blog. Some of the comments were left by believers who tried to turn Mr. Wright to repentance. Some were extremely damaging to his credibility.I know there were over 100 comments and I can prove it. I took screen shots and saved them. The next time I visited Mr. wright's page, I found all but 10 of the comments on that same post had been deleted. Only those wherein Mr. Wright reiterated his slander or a few that provided a supporting platform for him to offer a "sage" reply remained. Why, if Mr. wright is so adamant that he is Mr. Right, would he delete 90 or so comments? I also noted a dramatic temporary drop in the number of "likes" on that page.

Mr. Wright is indeed an Internet Troll! He isn't even very creative when it comes to unique names for his alter-egos. The real Nathan's Voice belongs to a charitable organization in Oklahoma dedicated to an autistic kid, and there is another entity called Fulcrum Ministries. Both of these have Facebook pages not connected with Jim Wright.

I have long hoped someone would run him to ground and put an end to his self-aggrandizing persecution of the saints, Mr. Breen. Someday I will look you up on Facebook, but for now, I think I can do more good as an "anonymous" observer and information gatherer where Mr. Wright is concerned. Thank you so much for writing this blog. I know of no reason that any man would spend the kind of time you obviously have confronting such as Jim Wright, except that the Holy Spirit has put a burning in your bones to see true justice. I pray each and every reader will take this to heart...that they will break every connection with this man on Facebook and block him (especially of they are well-known voices in the "organic community"), unsubscribe from his blog and totally shun him until he sees the error of his ways! I doubt that is likely, based on what I've read of his words, but prayer can work where no amount of persuasive words and warnings to repent will prevail. Please, if you are reading this...break all contact with Jim Wright and implore everyone you know to do the same!

Hey r. I'm sorry you had a bad experience at TKA. I graduated in 1980 and I can understand how TKA would be a tough experience for many people and the elementary school in particular could be a tough experience for someone coming in from a different religious tradition.

As for what Mr. Whitney thinks of his son, I couldn't tell you as he passed away several years ago, and I've never asked Dan that question. I believe he would have been proud of his success while not endorsing all of his choices and topics. Other people have stories they can share of the personal side of Mr. Whitney. One friend tells of walking down the corridor with a guitar and Mr. Whitney called him into his office and then proceeded to play some old rock numbers on the guitar and talk with him about music.

Being in the role he was in at TKA, Mr. Whitney had to meet the expectations of the administration and enforce the policies of the school. As you remember, that would make it a hard thing and whatever you may think about the school, or the issue that he resigned over, he did what he did in large part because he felt the administration was wrong and was not treating the elementary school students and their families with respect.

I'm sorry that your experience with TKA turned you against Christianity. I can understand that too. Although I went on from TKA to Christian University and was eventually ordained as a minister and worked in churches for over 20 years I found many, many things that turned me off and there was no shortage of hypocrisy, even including at times, my own.

I don't attend institutional churches regularly anymore and further I tend to identify myself as a follower of Jesus rather than a "Christian" because of all of the baggage that goes with that term as well as the conclusions people draw with that term as to my values and politics, especially in the south where so much of that goes together with the assumption that Christian = evangelical right wing (which is definitely where TKA was coming from.

Thanks for sharing your remembrances and I'm glad at least that you found what I wrote here to be accurate. I try for that and I have no agenda to protect Dan, TKA or Mr. Whitney. Maybe I knew them in a different context and as I was older too, I was better prepared for what it was like and adapted better at that time. I certainly had friends and knew others for whom that wasn't true.

I wish you the best, and I mean that sincerely. One thing I've learned, which I offer you and you can take it or leave it, but carrying resentment toward people, schools and even something as broad as a religion is a heavy burden to carry and the person who does all the work is you. I've done that in the past myself and it wore me out. You don't have to agree with what people have done, and you can call abuse "abuse" and I'm with you on that. Forgiving and leaving those sorts of things behind doesn't mean validating everything from the past. Not forgiving is like swallowing rat poison and then waiting for the rats to die. It just doesn't work that way.

I don't know where you are at and maybe I'm reading too much into the short comment you have here, but I'd encourage you to let go of the hurts from TKA in the past for your own sake, not theirs. I'd also encourage you too, to not measure everything of Christianity or Jesus Christ from that one narrow part of it. I can resonate with quite a bit of what you've said and agree with you, but it does seem like you're carrying it and perhaps would benefit from letting it go.

Feel free to respond here or email me if I can help with any of that.

I met the principal back in 1980 when I transferred from Saint Francis (catholic school) to Kings Academy. I was asked by Mr. Whitney to come back to his office and speak to him alone. Mr. Whitney really laid it on me about the transfer from a catholic school to a Christian school. And for a ten year old, I was very intimidated by the guy. I never knew his son—-now known as Larry The Cable Guy. And I’m very offended by the way Mr. Whitney hit me up with questions about being transferred when today, his son gets up in front of millions talking about farting, and all kinds of disgusting vulgar. Hey, I understand making money is important. But how does his father feel about what his son does for money? I remember the conflict his father had when a little booklet was introduced on school grounds and Mr. Whitney had such a problem with it that it made the local news paper. I don’t remember the name of the literature, but everything you have posted in your biography is exactly true. Mr. Whitney resigned over the situation. I remember it well. The article showed Mr. Whitney holding the booklet up for a picture pose in the paper. How does Mr. Whitney feel about what his son does verse that little booklet back in 1980 that he had a problem with? To me, it’s a spit in the face.

Well, Kings Academy turned me against Christianity. I’m definitely anti-Christian because of that school. And the tally system you wrote about was extremely abusive. You would get one of those if you looked away from the teacher for a split second and FIVE of those got you sent to the office. If you were sent to the office a second time you were paddled. I repeated fourth grade and my mom pulled me out of there and stuck me in a public school.
